I provided the illustration for the Christmas Book Appeal for the Children's Book Council of Australia, Victorian Branch.

In the words of Pamela Horsey, the Convenor of the Appeal, "please accept our sincere thanks for the beautiful illustration which was the highlight of our Christmas Book Appeal brochure and the focus of our Christmas Book Appeal Book Plate. It is a delightful picture and we want you to know that we shall keep using this image for quite a long time as it depicts the wonder that a child can encounter on entering a book, and that is one of our most sincere hopes in giving books to these needy children."

I was pretty happy with their response as my deadline was very tight! So far it has been used for Christmas 2005 and 2006. More info on the appeal can be found at the CBCA Victorian Branch website.
